What are you doing to engage & Communicate with your people?

I’m a former employee engagement consultant, facilitator, & event designer.

I know what it takes to execute a top-level event & how employee engagement directly impacts your bottom line.

A disengaged employee costs an organization approximately $3,400 for every $10,000 in annual salary (McLean & Company).

Your people want to feel seen & heard, they want to work for a company with a positive culture, who cares about their well-being, personal & professional development, and fosters not only DEI but belonging.

As a speaker & facilitator, I believe in bringing high-level experiences that not only impacts & engages the audience but ties into the culture and mission of your organization.

"As the Events & Program Chair within the Seattle Children’s Hola Inclusion Network (IN) I had the pleasure of partnering and collaborating with Arissan at Authentic Empowerment LLC. The idea for working with Arissan came about when our Hola IN Chair heard from members that there were collective themes and sentiments around lack of personal goal setting skills, wanting to practice self-empowerment, address imposter syndrome, discuss perfectionism, etc. The idea turned to reality and became a 3-part Empowerment & Belonging Workshop Series.

Working with Arissan for the planning and coordinating to pull off this series was so intentional and thought out. The first time we met with Arissan she came prepared with ideas and framework for the series and was open to edits/additions to really tailor the content to our member’s needs. Arissan helped us put together an interest form to gather initial thoughts and questions from members.

In addition to planning the workshop, we added in a post-event element – an attendee gratitude gift. The gift was a postcard pack that included an original art piece inspired by the Hola IN community + The Empowerment & Belonging Workshop series. Our Hola IN Chair identified a small BIPOC Business, Almonte Studio, to collaborate with. We presented the idea to Arissan, and she was on board & loved this new idea!

After the series framework and gratitude gift planning was finalized, it was time for the series to begin! We started with session #1 in March and wrapped up the third and final session by mid-April. The greatest take away from this experience was the importance of community and supporting and growing the ones that you have. Arissan was a fantastic speaker, leader, facilitator and did an amazing job of reading the room. There were parts of the series where the content was so good and inspiring great conversation and sharing and instead of cutting it short, Arissan leaned into it.

We created a post-event survey and heard from our members that their experience was overall positive - it was the highest survey participation we’ve had this year. Partnering with Arissan was one of the highlights of the Hola IN’s programming this year! Even though I had a hand in organizing and executing the planning, I had the opportunity to participate and benefit from the content shared. So grateful for the experience!"

  • "Arissan was engaging with participants, making them feel comfortable while sharing personal experiences and reflections. Expectation was to have an interactive workshop, with group discussions, the workshop aligned with these expectations and participants left feeling ready to put their reflections into action. It was an inward, reflective, and action based workshop."
